Steps to use Opera as a Tor Browser with Advanced Onion Router: 1. Download the Opera browser from http://www.opera.com/browser/download/ . 2. Execute Opera_setup.exe . 3. Click "Options" . 4. Select the install path to be a directory that doesn't have any existing installation of Opera . 5. "Install for" -> "Stand-alone installation (USB)" . 6. Click "Accept and Install" . 7. Close the "Welcome to Opera" tab . 8. Close all "Speed dial" items . 9. Go to Menu->Settings->Preferences ; change the home page to "about:blank" and the language to "English [en]" . 10. Go to Advanced -> History and disable the disk cache and disable remembering addresses. 11. Go to Advanced -> Cookies and select the option to delete new cookies when exiting Opera. 12. Go to Advanced -> Network and disable geolocation . 13. Go to Advanced -> Network -> Proxy servers and enable proxy servers for all protocols, address: "127.0.0.1" , port: "8118" . 14. Go to "Advanced -> "Security" and disable the option for fraud and malware protection and disable automatic updates (these options would cause Opera to connect to *.opera.com) 15. Close Opera. 16. Copy AdvOR\AdvOR.exe and AdvOR\AdvOR.dll to the Opera\ directory . 17. Copy AdvOR\Help\Opera\AdvOR.ini to the Opera\ directory . 18. If you want to rename AdvOR.exe to something else, like "StartOpera", you must also rename AdvOR.dll and AdvOR.ini to "StartOpera.dll" and "StartOpera.ini" . 19. Start AdvOR from the Opera\ directory . You can now use Opera with javascript and plugins enabled, because it is intercepted by AdvOR. 20. If you close AdvOR, it will also close Opera and all other intercepted processes that were created by it; if you close Opera, AdvOR will also terminate all processes created by Opera and then exit.
